During my high school life our teachers conduct a field trip in going to Kanlaon city to see the wonderful views on that place and the famous Kanlaon valcano we are so very excited that time to be there!just to see thier place and take some picture,this valcano is lacated in Kanlaon city in negros island in the philippines.It is found between the province of negros occidental and negros orientalin the Visayas region (10°24.7'N, 123°7.9'E), approximately 36 km southeast of Bacolod City.
Kanlaon volcano has an elevation of 2,435 meters and a base diameter of 30 km and is dotted with pyroclastic cones and craters. The summit of Kanlaon contains a broad elongated northern caldera with a crater lake. A smaller but more active crater lies in the south.The volcano has three hot springs on its slopes: Mambucal Hot Springs on the northwest, Bucalan Hot Spring, Bungol Hot Spring. when I was there i witness how beautiful kanlaon place.. I saw many vegetables and fruits plantation the weather in canlaon is good and cold most especially the water because I was surpised on that time when i take one glass of water from the faucet.. You can feel the coldness of the water.I was always looking the volcano in the upper side of the city i saw the fire in the crater it was so nice to experience the journey in kanlaon...but before I proceed I would like to discuss alaso the history about the canlaon valcano its came from the name of Laon is the name of an ancient Hiligaynon goddess. During pre-Hispanic times, the natives worshiped her as their Supreme Ruler. Kanlaon is derived from the old Visayan words ka which means for and Laon. The mountain is said to be where Laon made his presence to the people in short its called kanlaon volcano it is also myterious volcano because during ancient time the people living in canlaon need to climb up in the mountain to do rituals during thier harvest as a respect for thier beliefs and also offer gift as a sign of respect of thier goddies..so my friends I would like to introduce this places to take ur time and see the beauty of canlaon enjoy your journey ...and spent your time ...to canlaon city.
